AmeriPlan Capture Page UPDATE!! User Options/OPT Out Feature/Disclaimer
Oct 12
As we keep pushing on to strive for a better website experience, we have update the new AmeriPlan Corporate IBO sites’ Capture Page.
NEW FEATURES:
- Opt Out Button – With the Opt Out Button located in the top right corner of the Capture Page, the user can now by pass the Capture Page option and enter the site freely. They can view any page in the site but if they return to the Homepage, the Capture Page Pop Up will appear.
- The user now has the option to either leave a Phone NumberĀ or Email Address. The First and Last Name Field is required.
- We have also placed a Disclaimer that reads: “AmeriPlanĀ® does not sell any personal information collected through its website to any outside source.”
A few more of the suggestions turned in are also being considered.
Thanks for everyone’s comments and suggestions.
That’s great. Sooo much easier to go into the site.

YES!
Giving the user an option is a much better website experience.

Why don’t you just remove the capture page totally, and just cloak the websites. So when someone does visit the site you instantly know who they are.
Hello Donna,
Let me find out what the IT Team says and I will post their answer soon.
thx,
m
I think Donna has a good idea. The core of our business comes through people who visit our websites and then we get their email and phone number. Hopefully IT can make this change.
Hi Margaret,
The AmeriPlan websites cannot grab a persons information without the person voluntarily giving it to us. That is what the Capture Page is for. And it is set up as an Option, rather a demand.
Thanks,
m

Yes, we can see if the site received a visitor by an IP address and how many times that IP address returned to the site, but we can grab the visitors name, email or phone… that is not an option.
If you are aware of something that does that, please let us know.
Thanks,
m
Hi Donna,
If you know of an example website that grabs a visitors info just by visiting the site, please send me the url. We need an example of a site that can do that. Honestly, I don’t think that can be done.
Thanks,
m
Hi
I personally like the idea of a capture page. I do wish when we have returning visitors they do not have to refill out the capture page. But I love knowing whoo has been on my page especially if I sent them there. I also wish it collected a time zone or city/state so when we go to return calls we can do so without having to do a search to see if the present time is an appropriate time to call for the intended prospect.
Also Thanks for all the awesome work you all are doing as I can only imagine how hard it has been getting this all up and going for the past few weeks.
Hi Sheila,
Thanks for the positive feedback and kind words. Your suggestion is valid and will be taken into consideration. It will be passed on to the IT Team.
As we keep pushing on, changes will be made to the Capture Page to improve and the user and IBO experience.
Thanks,
m
The Capture page is an excellent idea, but could turn people away, because they may not know that they can click the X and enter the site without filling out the capture form.
Hi Pauline,
The IBO has the option to TURN OFF the Pop-up Capture page feature. You can do that by logging into your New Mobile Back Office.
As for the not seeing the ‘X’… most user know that the ‘X’ is a by pass option. When most users come to any site with a Capture Page, they usually look for the ‘X’ option. It’s pretty standard.
But the ultimate decision falls on each IBO. What I suggest is try it with it ‘ON’ for a while, then with it ‘OFF’… test and see what results you get.
Thanks,
m
